The name Nōdfu E̜l Vrët is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Nōdfu E̜l Vrët was founded by Zegadonh Crosrebu, who was culturaly Wood Elven.
Climate
Nōdfu E̜l Vrët has a yearly average temperature of 7°C (44°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 25°C (77°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a freezing -10°C (14°F). Nōdfu E̜l Vrët receives an average of 182 cm/y (71 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Nōdfu E̜l Vrët covers an area of nearly 3 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 4096 m (13438 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Nōdfu E̜l Vrët was founded durring the early 16th century in summer of the year 1550, by Zegadonh Crosrebu. The establishment of Nōdfu E̜l Vrët was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Zegadonh Crosrebu electing to pay people to resettle in Nōdfu E̜l Vrët.
Nōdfu E̜l Vrët was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Nōdfu E̜l Vrët is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Nōdfu E̜l Vrët is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of spacious packed earth streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The town's peasent-grade have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.
Before you’ve even set foot into the heart of Nōdfu E̜l Vrët, you can smell it. The incense. It hangs about the town like a cloud. Monks, priests, and clerics are everywhere, all dedicated to the same god, all performing the same rituals to bless and anoint buildings, streets, people, animals, you name it they are or have blessed it. The same holy symbol is everywhere too. Its on buildings, on people, and even branded into livestock. This certainly loves its god. More than it loves wealth. The town is very clearly poor. Buildings are run down in ways that are not imeadiatly obvious. The people are a bit too thin. The market is very eager to sell to newcomers, but not so eager to buy from them. There’s also a general lack of the hum and buzz of healthy industry in Nōdfu E̜l Vrët.

Cultural Notes
Nōdfu E̜l Vrët's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used has a sleek, linear appearance with stylized, often geometric ornamentation. The primary facade of its buildings often featured a series of set backs that create a stepped outline. Low-relief decorative panels can be found at entrances, around windows, along roof edges or as string courses. It was best known for its use of smooth finish building materials such as stucco, concrete block, glazed brick or mosaic tile. Decorative details can incorporate various artistic or exotic motifs to suit the building's function or the architect's whim. Chevrons, zigzags, and other geometrical motifs are common forms of ornament.

POI
History
In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Nōdfu E̜l Vrët was attacked by a group of nobles with their private armies. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Nōdfu E̜l Vrët lost 181 people, 114 livestock, and 45 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 60, when members of Nōdfu E̜l Vrët's militia enacted an operation to destroy or capture a particular enemy artifact. The operation was complicated by an outbreak of plague which struck the ranks, killing many and laying low many more. The conflict ended with needing to break through the enemy's lines, which ended in a crushing defeat for Nōdfu E̜l Vrët's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Nōdfu E̜l Vrët's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
